Think big with Keyline: Big Conversations
Every project starts with a conversation. It is in these initial discussions that opportunities to do things faster, more efficiently, and better than has ever been done before are uncovered.
At Keyline, we believe in thinking big and embracing innovation. Through collaboration, our industry can find new, improved ways to operate and innovate – as the leading partner to the UK’s Civils industry, we’re here to help support you from the start to the very end of projects.
One of our teams that can help support you in taking a proactive approach to design and specification, overcoming challenges, and driving forward innovation is our Technical Team: read on to find out how.
Starting the big conversations
Planning out an entire project at specification is a huge task – by starting the conversation with your civils partner and engaging the supply chain early, we can work together to maximise the efficiency and productivity of your projects from the very beginning.
We’re here to support you at this stage and throughout with the expertise provided by our Technical Team. Early collaboration opens up opportunities to innovate on your project – our team offers the full service of solution engineering and product consultation to identify and solve potential challenges at the earliest possible opportunity.
The big conversations are the ones that recognise a better way of doing things and take action – there's a huge opportunity for our industry to improve, and collaboration is key to it.
How our Technical Team can support your projects
Trying to force a solution to fit the problem at hand can be challenging – our Technical Team can help you identify, and sometimes create, the right solution for your specific project needs.
Alongside our market-leading logistics services at Keyline, we facilitate product development and find innovative solutions to your problems. Our Technical Team comprises decades of combined technical knowledge and an in-house civil engineer, so you can be certain in the reliability of our expertise.
This is how we can support your projects from start to finish.
Greater technical support at the design and tender stage
Early project development and the tender process can involve an overwhelming quantity of work. Often, technical problems don't become apparent until the project is well underway – and solving them is usually time consuming and costly.
As emphasised in the Government's Construction Playbook, early supply chain involvement can provide great value. Early collaboration increases project value and efficiency, helping designers achieve planned outcomes, faster delivery, and reduced spend. Our Technical Team can be the extra pair of eyes supporting you at specification, and taking some of the workload off your plate.
A full service of solution engineering, product consultation and logistical solutions
Take advantage of our comprehensive solution engineering and product consultation services. Whether you anticipate unique challenges, need product-based solutions that don't quite exist yet, or have specific logistical requirements, our Technical Team is here to help.
We offer support as your civils partner at every stage of your project, from specification to delivery, ensuring you can overcome challenges and drive forward innovation.
Providing opportunities to collaborate across the supply chain
Keyline is the UK's leading Civils Partner in the construction industry. Our relationships span decades, and we leverage these partnerships to help you think big when it comes to project potential.
By recognising opportunity and encouraging collaboration between contractors and manufacturers, we act as a bridge across the supply chain, navigating the process with expertise.
Our Technical Team has the expertise to identify where innovation is needed, and the connections to make it happen. Our collaborative approach bridges the gap between designers, suppliers, and customers, opening up opportunities to innovate.
Road runoff pollution roundtable
Being involved in the big conversations goes beyond that of an individual project. At Keyline, we want to support the industry in finding solutions for all the challenges we face – it was clear that road runoff pollution would pose a significant one.
Gathering industry experts and leading manufacturers alongside academics, government and the third sector, we organised a roundtable in February 2024 to encourage a collaborative approach to finding a solution to road runoff pollution.
Using the insights from the discussions, we created a whitepaper that summarises the damage caused by road runoff, the potential challenges we face in solving it, and potential solutions. With Schedule 3 likely to be introduced in England soon, we want to help support the industry in implementing SuDS and addressing road runoff effectively. Our roundtable, whitepaper, and the subsequent steering group is designed to help us do that.
